Q1: Let’s dive right in. “Delay The Drama” is generating a lot of buzz. Can you tell us about the song and how it came together?
Blazin: So there was a time i was working with Snyp Life (D-Block) up in Yonkers At the old D Block Studio. I did a couple freestyles with him and Styles P.It was originally over a J cole beat and Inph heard the record and decided to do a new beat for it and he really did his thing with it beats crazy and got that left lane feel to it.I reached out to my guy Dj Tray out in Switzerland and he laced the cutz at the end.
Q2: You’ve collaborated with heavyweights like Kurupt, KXNG Crooked, and Cappadonna. How does working with an artist like Styles P compare?
Blazin: Styles P to me is top 5 emcess hes just on another level. So having the chance to get on a record with him was everything and got a chance to light up in the studio and hit the road out of state to a couple shows with Styles Snyp and Kiss few times.Being a student of the game thats sumthing that deff shaped me as an artist my earlier years.
Q3: You’re part of DaArmy97, and you’ve been featured on Shade 45 multiple times. How has that platform helped shape your career?
Blazin: It deff gets my music out there to a bigger audience state to state and worldwide people listen to Shade45. Being up there in person just gave me that extra confidence that the work is paying off and things coming into fruition.
Q4: Long Island has produced some legendary artists. How does your hometown influence your music?
Blazin: Home of the greats like Epmd Rakim De la Method Man etc. Still feel like we the underdogs tho when it come to the boroughs so it use to have me wit a chip on the shoulder but kept me sharp to show and prove when it comes to New York.
Q5: What can fans expect from The Punchline Playbook: Lesson 1?
Blazin: Inph production is now just on another level sonicly so that first and foremost and My team DaArmy97 will he all over this album‼️🫡🪖
Q6: Any advice for up-and-coming artists trying to break into the industry?
Blazin: I would say find your sound first and know the audience you speaking too that will be your fanbase thats gonna ride with you. Repetition and Consistency is key stick to your guns and your fanbase will grow with you.
Q7: Where can fans follow your journey and check out your music?
Blazin: Blazin on all DSPs i have a debut album out called “Cruz Bap” yall should check out if you aint on that yet. Im on ig @cruzblazinli and i will be soon releasing some music produced by myself too so look out for that.
